I am very excited to start blogging and adding more content to my blog. I am also excited to learn more about what can create a successful blog.
The purpose of my blog is to talk about beauty. When the term beauty is stated we often think of things such as makeup, fashion and hair. These are things that I will talk and write about, but another aspect that I would like to cover is self love, as well as how we define beauty. I want to cover how beauty comes in all forms and can be found in everything and everyone. Beauty is unique and should not be limited or defined based off of only popular opinions and what is trending.
I have never started or created a blog before so I hope to learn how to blog successfully and be able to reach my readers and viewers in the way I hope. Sometimes it is hard to understand how someone is feeling or what they are exactly trying to portray though writing. (For example, it is hard to exactly sense how people are feeling through text messages). I hope to learn different ways to bring my voice, creativity, and personality out. I also hope to gain new insight in the blogging world. I haven’t spent much time reading blogs or immersing myself into this area. I hope that I can have my personality and thoughts truly reflect through my writing and visual content. I think visual content is important and will draw readers in as well as help take further the things I am trying to show or say.
I hope that my readers will comment what they like and dislike in a constructive way when engaging with my blog so that I can make my blog better and more helpful for my readers. I also hope for my readers to share their knowledge and opinions about the things I share and write so I can learn new perspectives and even learn new information!
A content creator and influencer that I admire is Catherine Piaz (ACE Family). She and her husband create youtube blog videos documenting their daily lives as well as are well known throughout social media. I admire her and find her motivating because she is a very real, positive and down to earth person, even though she is famous. She has two little girls, with a son on the way and manages to live her life beautifully while still being down to earth when life gets hard. I think her way of life and attitude resembles the theme of my blog. I want to blog about beauty, makeup, and fashion while talking about self love and where true beauty is found.
We are all human and we are all beautiful. I think beauty and fashion is such a fun and creative topic/ industry but I also think that it can be misleading at times. I know for myself that I can spend time looking at makeup and fashion trends and think that it is really fun and interesting but at the same time I know that I can end up feeling bad or not as confident in myself when I compare people or what is considered beauty to myself. It is common that these effects can take place through social media, magazines, and television.
I want to make an emphasis on that we are all human and we are all beautiful! It is important to love yourself, know your worth, and also see the beauty in others as well. We are all unique, which I think is the most beautiful thing of all!
